Thank you for sending the CD! However, I have a problem with it ...

It's so damn good, I don't know what to play first.

The writing is beyond superb, the performance flawless, and the production is perfect. Every song is a potential hit, with meaningful lyrics, good instrumental teases, great hooks and above all wonderful dynamics. (I am somewhat familiar with the musicians on the album and the studio you recorded in...good choices). This is MAJOR label stuff, and I think you will be the next Mary Chapin Carpenter.

Barbara, I love your CD, and intend to do what I can to push it...I'm not doing you a favor...it's just very good music. As a member of NJCMA I've heard of you for many moons, but I never actually heard you perform. As the only radio DJ playing country music on Long Island I get to listen to a lot of CD's and I reallt do try to give everyone a break...but this is really incredible stuff. You will have great success with this. Be persistent....this is the type of stuff Country music needs to get back on track, and proves there is still one genre of music where one can write and perform beautiful songs, with good melodies and hook lines, that still rock. I love the way each song builds.

I'm leaning toward cut "6" She's Got Mail and cut 1 "Second to None" as the most likely "singles" but the whole album is very strong indeed. Is there any cut that you have a special preference for, or would prefer I play first.
It's great ... really great. Best of luck and great success to you. You have obviously worked hard and deserve it all ... including a grammy for best songwriter.
As a musician and songwriter myself I know top quality stuff when I hear it ... and I hear it on your CD. At least one cut will be on the radio show this weekend.
